This plant is a native of Paraguay, from a region called the Amambay in the mid-subtropical forest in the south-east of the country. This area is very mountainous and somewhat isolated, which may explain why stevia has been overlooked for so long in European countries.
Stevia gets its sweetness from a family of molecules called "steviol glycosides". The members of this family of molecules, among which the best-known are stevioside and rebaudioside A, have a natural sweetness ranging from 60 to 350 times that of sucrose. They are not fermentable and are indigestible, meaning that they contain almost zero calories and have a glycaemic index of nearly zero.
innotaste’s range includes rebaudioside A, also known as reb A and Rebiana, which is a high-intensity sweetener derived from the stevia leaf. Stevial® products meet the regulatory requirements of all countries that have authorised the use of stevia extracts.
The Stevial® range includes:
Our range of extracts (STG, Reb A60, Reb A98) is produced from leaves of an optimal standard of international origin. These extracts, which are produced in Europe (France), offer the ideal quality/price balance.

These extracts are produced in Europe (France), with a guaranteed origin of raw materials, and offer a superior organoleptic profile.
Our PHARMA reference product (Reb APur) is produced in our French extraction facilities. This HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000 production guarantee to our pharmaceutical clients is compliant with the strict constraints of this sector.
