Getting to the heart of flavour

That’s what Innotaste does

We at Innotaste see ourselves first and foremost as

distributors of flavours and other complex food ingredients

that positively influence the taste and functionality of consumer products.

We act as a medium-sized B2B partner for national and international clients from the beverage, pharmaceutical and food industries, and we do it in the interests of both customers and suppliers.

It has been in the name.
From the start.

In late autumn 2004, Carl-Hugo Erbslöh and Peter Felber founded Innotaste with managing directors Andreas Schockhoven and Klaus Olschewski. The two managing directors had for many years already worked in sales and marketing at Firmenich (now DSM-Firmenich), one of the global market leaders for flavours, and who is now our largest supplier.
The name Innotaste was to be both a synonym and a statement of the company’s identity:

‘Innovation’ and ‘Taste’ = Innotaste.

What does Innotaste stand for?

Bridging gaps

From the outset, the company’s aim was to fill a gap in the market:

To supply customers with first-class products in the shortest possible time, including those with initially smaller order volumes. We quickly became known and successful as a flexible problem solver and creative partner for decision-makers in product development and purchasing.

What does Innotaste stand for?

Passion for innovation and performance

Since the founding of Innotaste, we have used our expertise and passion to focus on trends and innovations in the world of flavours and texture development. In our in-house laboratories in Germany and abroad, we make ready-to-eat prototypes of our product innovations for our customers.

What does Innotaste stand for?

Distribution excellence

Andreas Schockhoven and Klaus Olschewski were quick to commit to a strategic partnership with the distribution experts at the C.H.Erbslöh Group in the commercial city of Krefeld in Germany.

The highly renowned distribution company, now in its fifth generation, has been successfully acting as a link between international manufacturers of complex chemical specialist products and European customers since 1876.

Innotaste acts as the C.H. Erbslöh Group’s food segment and, thanks to logistical and sales synergies, continues to stand out from the competitors.

Our partners: Identifying opportunities and exploiting them together

Innotaste responds quickly and pragmatically to emerging market demands and opportunities.

We are constantly on the lookout for new, effective ingredients for our customers.

An extensive customer network enables new suppliers to break into previously unknown regional markets without having to invest in local branches themselves. This is how Innotaste establishes partnerships with both customers and suppliers in Germany and Europe, some of which have lasted for decades.
