In close cooperation with our German headquarters the local team of our LEL network partner URAI takes care of the specific market requirements of our existing and new Italian clients. An own local application and sampling lab completes the service to our clients in Italy.

Enxhi Kushta

Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs

Enxhi Kushta was born in Albania in 1996. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at the University of Tirana, she moved to Italy to pursue a new chapter in her personal and professional life, completing a Master’s Degree in Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Milan. Her thesis focused on the development of rapid analytical methods based on molecular techniques for assessing quality and safety in the agri-food sector.

Following her graduation, Enxhi gained experience as a Technical Support and Regulatory Affairs Specialist, developing expertise in compliance requirements and legislation related to cosmetic and chemical raw materials. Driven by her interest in the cosmetic industry, she later completed a postgraduate Master’s degree in Cosmetic Sciences at the University of Milan, expanding her knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation, and product development.

Today, Enxhi works at URAI S.p.A., supporting the Life Science Business Unit in Regulatory Affairs by providing guidance on regulatory matters for raw materials, managing technical documentation, and collaborating with international suppliers and customers to ensure compliance and support the introduction of innovative ingredients to the Italian market.

Roberta Rappa

Purchasing and Customer Service

Roberta Rappa was born in Italy. She graduated in Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Pavia, where she developed strong linguistic and communication skills through translation, interpreting and audiovisual adaptation projects.

She began her professional career in 2016, working as Office Assistant and Marketing Support, where she gained experience in commercial back office activities, event organisation, translations and marketing support. Roberta then worked as a Translator and Interpreter, providing translation and interpreting services for private clients.
In 2019, she worked as Commercial Back Office, supporting commercial operations, digital marketing initiatives and the organisation of trade fairs and corporate events.
In 2021, Roberta moved to URAI S.p.A. as Commercial Back Office and Marketing Specialist, where she strengthened her expertise in sales administration, customer support and operational marketing.

Federica Keller

Head of Application Laboratory

Federica was born in Italy in 1989. She graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Turin and later completed a postgraduate Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science and Technology at the University of Siena.

Federica begann ihre Karriere in der Kosmetikbranche im Bereich Forschung und Entwicklung sowie Regulatory Affairs bei einem Hersteller von Fertigprodukten, wo sie Erfahrungen in der Formulierung und Entwicklung von Kosmetikprodukten bis hin zum Pilotmaßstab sowie in der Unterstützung von regulatorischen und Marketingaktivitäten sammelte.

Anschließend wechselte sie in den Bereich Kosmetikwirkstoffe und war dort mehrere Jahre als Spezialistin für Forschung und Entwicklung sowie technischen Support tätig. In dieser Funktion entwickelte sie Kosmetikprototypen, bewertete neue Inhaltsstoffe und deren Anwendungsmöglichkeiten und leistete Kunden technische Unterstützung sowie Hilfe bei der Rezepturentwicklung.

Im Oktober 2025 trat Federica als Leiterin des Kosmetiklabors bei URAI ein. Sie koordiniert das Laborteam und die Aktivitäten in den Bereichen Rohstoffvalidierung, Prototypenentwicklung, technischer Kundensupport, Qualitätskontrolle und technische Schulungen und arbeitet dabei eng mit Lieferanten und Geschäftspartnern zusammen.

Gabriele Baratti

Life Science Division Manager

Gabriele Baratti was born in Italy in 1980. After graduating from secondary school he studied Environmental Engineering at Padova University. He’s now married with 1 son.

After successfully completing his studies in 2007, Gabriele worked for several years at an engineering company specialising in the development, design and implementation of large-scale industrial air treatment systems.

In 2010, he began his career in the industrial chemicals sector, initially working in sales and subsequently taking on the role of Sales Director for an Italian manufacturer of chemical raw materials. This experience allowed him to travel extensively and establish relationships with a wide range of international companies operating within the chemical industry.

Gabriele joined URAI in 2021, initially coordinating the Cosmetics and Personal Care Business Unit. He later assumed responsibility for the entire Life Science Division, which includes the Food, Nutraceutical and Cosmetics business areas.

Vania Velloso

Business Unit Manager – Food and flavours

Vania was born in Brazil and is dedicated in building solid relationship with customers, experienced in international business and multicultural teams. She has been working and living in different countries among Latin America and Europe.

Based in Italy, Vania has been assigned in Account Manager and Business Development roles within multinationals like Ingredion and McCormick with more than 10 years experience driving profitable growth across ingredients, flavours, food and beverage, nutraceuticals and personal/home care markets. She has managed global and key accounts within the food and beverage as well as the cosmetics sector.

With an entrepreneurial mindset she had co-founded a food supplements company with hands-on e-commerce and brand-building experience. Multilingual speaker (Portuguese, English, Italian, Spanish) with a strong commitment to inclusive, high-performance teams. Vania holds a degree in Social Communication and a Specialization Course in  Aesthetics Nutrition. She is also Wine Sommelier from Fisar Italy.

In summer 2026 Vania joined Urai as Business Unit Manager Food & Flavours looking after the Italian food, beverage and Pharma customers.
